Straight after the #05 final, Ted confirmed that due to no suitable venues being available in Cyprus, a Brand New arena would be built in Nicosia.
A new format for the Semi Final draws was used for the first time this edition, with countries being allocated pots, and then being drawn into halves, before being given an official draw.
The host was revealed as Demy (BellaRoesc) on the 28th April. An additional host was appointed shortly after SF1 ended in the form of Christiana Loizou (ZerinaCaderia), because the original host decided to resign, however, she quickly withdrew her resignation, making the host count 2 hosts.
*= To much controversy, France were allowed into the final after an issue with the televote system where they were not included.
