Straight after France's Win in #03, Ted, The Executive Supervisor explained changes to the contest.
One major change to the competition was that from #04, only the Winner would have the privilege of pre-qualifying to the final. However, The remaining Big 5 countries would still be allowed to pre-qualify to the Semis. (Junior) Eurovision Songs were also banned, to generate a fairer contest. On the 21st Of January, The Opening Ceremony took place, revealing Draws, Hosts and Much More.
The Grand Final took place on 3rd February 2018, and Lefisie won the contest for Israel, and in similar fashion to France's win, the points record was broken once again, with 168 Points, a feat that would not happen again until Edition #07!
